We've heard you loud and clear - negative reputation is back. Remember that it's still against the rules to complain about being downvoted - if you think someone's mass-downvoting posts or otherwise abusing the reputation system, DM a mod and we will take care of it.
I agree. Sending military, yet more money and resources, to other countries and wasting our tax dollars is a straight up shame for citizens here who could use it. I say let other countries handle their own problems.
What's even worse is when you do try to offer solutions or alternatives they'll find a way to turn THAT into a negative or make it seem like there's some omnipotent invisible force/being that prevents them from doing anything. Then I sit there and shake my head at their "why me-isms" since apparently they're absolutely helpless and have no control over their own lives.
This. I wish the US would stop sending help and money to foreign countries while ignoring its own citizens. If other countries are going through a civil or natural disaster that's their problem, not ours. We have our own problems to focus on and we shouldn't waste time and money elsewhere. Also to add: We need to stop handing out H1B visas like candy, there are tons of intelligent people in the US who are more than capable of filling positions at different companies. But for some reason companies are overlooking our own citizens to bring in people from abroad.
I think a lot of people are sad and miserable because that's where they want to be and that's where they feel the most comfortable. It's easier for them to feel pissy and sorry for themselves than realize that they're probably the cause of their own problems. Instead of even considering adopting something new into their lifestyle to help, they'd rather the rest of the world bend around them because...martyrdom? Yes, there are things in life that we have no control over, but to completely shut down over every little inconvenience is childish and dramatic. Something bothering you? Speak the fuck up. Don't like something? Do something to change it. What's that saying about repeating the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result each time? Insanity?
I wholeheartedly agree with this. I think they're disgusting and I frankly hate hearing people eat like fucking farm animals. The smacking, slopping, slurping, chewing, swallowing...it's all gross. And before anyone comes in with "but that's their culture! Smacking signifies how delicious it is!", yeah those sounds are still fucking disgusting. Just because SOME people from another culture do it doesn't mean I have to like it.
Eh, I say live and let live. I think the problem happens with the massive commercialism of any industry. The avocado industry drove local farmers off their own lands and is siphoning ground water from the surrounding areas. Large plantations (bananas, palm oil, etc.) are responsible for hundreds of acres of deforestation and pollution. The list could go on. Not defending either side, just saying mass commercialization is a huge contributor.
I think it's more that people don't want to be told how to live or accosted for eating meat. I personally don't care about other peoples' diets, but it's a different story once protesters enters restaurants to cause a scene and shame patrons for their choices.
When I worked in retail we had a small family shopping in our store. The parents were too preoccupied to keep an eye on their little hell spawn as he ran around and through clothes fixtures and tables. We warned the parents to please keep an eye on their brat to which they half-way acknowledged before going back to shopping. Welp, the kid ended up cracking his head open on the corner of one of the tables then proceeded to wail on the floor as blood trickled from his totally preventable wound. Parents finally noticed before scooping him up then shuffling out of the store. I didn't (still don't) feel an ounce of remorse and was more pissed about the mess I had to clean all because of these loser parents who'd rather shop than attend to their kids. Here's a protip: Toy aisles in stores are not day cares. Clothing racks and other fixtures are not jungle gyms. Store associates are not second-hand nannies. Watch your fucking kids folks...
He thinks with the old mentality of daughters being properties of their fathers. It also extends to his viewpoints on women in general, that they're nothing more than wet holes ready to be possessed. He's utter trash.
People who criticize regular citizens for getting plastic surgery but worship some idol with a face full of plastic make no fucking sense to me. They'll jump and scream for some Asian idol group who all (let's face it) look the same because they all have the same plastic surgeon, yet feel empowered to bash regular people for the work they got done...e___e
T.I. taking his daughter to yearly gyno visits to make sure her hymen is still intact is not only disgusting but it's a show of how he controls the women in his life. Not only is he teaching his daughter that she should let the next man have absolute control over her body, but it's also a display of how ignorant he is when it comes to female anatomy. Let's not forget that he doesn't believe that marital rape is a real thing. He's stated that since he's married to his wife, they split everything, including her vagina. He follows up by eluding that she has to "give him sex" whenever he wants it because of it. Meanwhile he doesn't check his son's blown-out asshole for signed signs of sexual activity. T.I is trash and so is his music.
