Ever since the Burning Sun thing, we've seen celebrities getting exposed left and right.. but there has been zero arrests or reports made on those disgusting VIPs that raped women at the club (right?). I remember talking to my friends about it when it first happened and I told him those VIPs are probably big time business men and politicians, therefore they will go to great lengths to make sure their identifies are not revealed, including letting Seungri hang for this. I still think that's the case and we're never going to learn the identities of those garbage.
It's hard to say what kind of person he really is because we don't know him; and I have seen genuinely nice people with sh*t friends because of their incapability of saying no. However, in most case, I believe the company you choose to keep can be a reflection of your character and personality.
This may just be me, but I don’t understand the over the top fascination with idols to the point you’d do anything to meet one, just to be in the same room with one, befriend one, etc etc. I think a lot of people put idols on a pedestal but the truth is, none of us knows who, and how they really in real life. If anything, from the whole Seungri thing and all the ripples we’ve learned a lot of them are douches. Them being famous speaks nothing for their character. So it’s always funny to see so many girls, in this case, Emily, are so desperate to become a part of that world. Truly nice dudes in the entertainment industry (not just korean, but Hollywood, China, etc etc) are the minority. It’s pathetic how girls like Emily worships celebrities. She’s a girl born into privilege, is there nothing better she can do with her life?
It boggles my mind that adults like Joan and Christine, cannot be bothered to make an effort to improve their language kills. If anything Korea probably has more resources for learning English. I can’t understand people with resources to improve themselves but chose to stay lackluster
You know that girl does not possess the intelligence to speak adequately about any serious subject matter. If by any chance she does talk about it, we can probably expect something along the lines of "um," "like, yeah, it's like, really important", "um" "like, a big deal" "um, like society".
Jennie, whom I believe is Joan's number 1 obsession out of all BP girls, has pretty much been on a Chanel kick as of late and that is out of Joan's price range. We may see Joan with a Chanel bag some times in the future, but with Chanel RTW I do not see Joan having the budget for (when I say RTW, I mean actual RTW pieces, t-shirts not included) so there's not much she can do in terms of copying Jennie's style. Then in recent airport photos, Lisa's spotted with a Hermes Kelly, retail at 10K+ depending on size and material; Rose was seen with a Delvaux Brillant bag (which is about 5.5-6K USD, and about 20% less if you're lucky enough to purchase it in Europe). None of those I believe Joan would drop the cash for. So the most I think we'll see Joan copy are either t-shirts, sneakers and maybe a more "reasonably priced" bag here and there. Basically as BP gets bigger their outfits will get too expensive for Joan to copy. Which is actually a good thing for her because as adults, we need to be responsible and, to borrow from Kevin Hart "stay in our financial lane".
Whenever he introduces people to Korean etiquette he always say “this is what WE do HERE”, which sounds weird bc it sounds like he’s passing himself off as a Korean person or someone who pretty much lived in Korea all his life. It’s like if I were to tell people “oh this is what we do in New York” when I’m not a native New Yorker nor have I lived there in a long period of time. It’s not offensive or anything but just sounds weird. He also appears to think Korean food (or anything Korean really) is superior to all. “Isn’t Korean beef better than any beef you’ve ever had?” “Isn’t Korean something something the best ever?” These quotes happens almost every other episode. Josh is genuinely interested in Korean culture and has been very respectful about it as far as I can see (I’m a subbie of his channels) but to me two of the key characteristics of a Koreaboo are obsessiveness with everything Korean, and believe everything Korean is superior, which speaking for myself, Josh possesses both. But like I said he’s very respectful and he is likable which is why I sub and watch his videos. But to say he’s not a Koreaboo, I don’t know if I can agree with that.
I understand her procedures are non-reversible but I wonder why Bom keeps getting injections, does she fear her face may be much worse if she doesn’t? I feel these injections aren’t doing her any favors and she may look just fine without them.
He probably has already been discussed here (sorry I only backtracked a hand full of pages here) but while generally I understand Josh (of Korean Englishman) is probably one of the biggest Koreaboos out there but even so I feel he pushes it sometimes. He’s currently uploading the mum series where his mom finally made it to Korea and he’s showing her around. In one of the episodes she was talking about his days at international school (think it was in China?), and how Josh didn’t like it at first but he was trying to make it through a year at least. Then one day he came home and told her he’s going to make it work and befriend the Korean kids at school. Being an international school I’m sure there are more than just Korean students but the fact he told his mom he’s going to befriend the Korean kids (instead of just all kids in general) really rubbed me the wrong way. Then in that one episode where he took Ollie and his dad to this Korean BBQ place in London, Ollie’s dad mentioned he hasn’t had Korean food since his trip which was quite some time ago. So that kinda tells me while Ollie’s dad no doubt had a great time in Korea but at the end of the day that’s not something he’s interested in, hence why he hasn’t had Korean food once since the filming that took place months ago, which makes me wonder if Josh sort of pushes Korean culture on his friends for the sake of filming.
It’s easy to say things like oh Jackson isn’t that great of a guy. I mean none of us knows the guy personally so maybe you’re totally wrong and he’s awesome, or maybe you’re right and he’s a douche, but statements like that are easy to throw out because there’s really no way for people to verify isn’t there? Just like if I were to say oh JB is actually a jerk off camera. How would people really know? Anyways you made a lengthy post that actually doesn’t really say anything because your actual intention of the post is to slip in there that Emily is dating Jackson.
I find it funny she always felt the need to justify her purchases with lame excuses. What’s wrong with saying “I got these Gentle Monster glasses bc I thought they were cute and I really wanted them”? Why go the distance and hit us with the whole “I have to protect my eyes therefore I am buying these designer glasses”. As for buying what Jennie wears, I actually feel bad for Joan bc a lot of stuff Jennie wears are sponsored, gifted by fans, or from their stylists. Meaning a lot of items aren’t Jennie’s own or may not be what she prefers personally. So Joan isn’t really getting the actual Jennie style, but more like she’s spending a lot of money on freebies Jennie worn once and may never be seen in them again. Joan seem to have caught the “celebrity disease”; her attitude definitely has changed from her earlier days. She’s naming her series Joan & Co. because Joan & Friends just sounds like a group of friends, whereas Joan & Co puts her in the star seat, and it implies it’s Joan, and her encourage/people she keeps company. Then again given what we’ve been of Joan’s intelligence, she may not be that deep and to her it just sounds cooler like Tiffany & Co. like that one user said.
Her and Jackson does seem to know each other, and we all know Jackson's a pretty friendly dude, yet on his list of 600+ following she's not one of them. Why purposely not follow someone you know when you have a list of people you've probably only met once or twice; or maybe her and Jackson stopped following each other to stop fueling rumors; or they've met, didn't really care for each other therefore not following each other. It could be any of those, the point is there's no point fighting each other on this. Maybe they're dating, maybe they're just acquaintances, maybe they hate each others' guts. who knows.
I don't believe Jackson is, nor has ever been romantically involved with her. She's the one that created all the "illusion" by probably following him wherever he was, or has friends that are friends with Jackson so she jumped at the chance to involve herself any way she can. There are a lot of girls like her (not terribly hopeless looking, has some $$) that does nothing but shop, eat all day and find celebs to latch on. When I was in school in London there's a crew of rich Chinese girls that flies out to wherever Big Bang is having an event and buys the most expensive package there is so they could take pictures with them. They would post pictures as if they're really friends with Big Bang when in reality they're just like the next rich fan girl. A lot of people have expressed that Emily uses celebrity names for clout and she's a desperate social climber. While I agree with that, but more so I do think she honestly is desperate to date an idol.
