this pisses me off to no end. There are two "Korea Towns" in Toronto. One on Bay St and Christie, and one way up at Yonge and Sheppard. The only one I've seen her post photos of are the smaller north end ktown that barely has any restaurants - but the ones they have are pretty good. My bf and I are constantly in ktown at Cristie because he grew up there, it's basially home to him. We're eating our way through that part of town and a lot of the food places there are pretty damn close to authentic. Homegirl wasn't in Korea long enough to know the difference, and is saying that to seem TOTES AUTHENTIC. The only comments bf has offered up on the difference in food quality is that mom's food will always be more delicious.
It's funny because she made that 123japanese website, and claimed it wasn't her. She was obsessed with Japan back in the late punksud days - her fucking name was Lychee and she kept going on about how we should watch her videos in Japan. She moved there to be with the guy she was with at the time, who she met in Toronto. She WAS obsessed with Japan, she wasn't forced to make videos about Japan upon her move there. She's such a lying idiot, it's hard to look at her accounts. And her whole shtick with Saudi Arabia? She spun a globe and her finger would always land on Saudi Arabia... knowing Miranda in her punk days, I'll go ahead and say that's 100% false.
She seems so dead set on being discriminated against in Canada. Chill woman, you're not the first Muslim woman in Canada. People are actually starting to try to educate themselves slowly - not EVERYONE obviously, but I've seen some change personally.
Don't get me wrong, I think Luna is a pretty name! I'm not bashing it I guess I can't judge on what she names her kid after, I'm never going to have any. I'm waiting to see the kid come out, and Jasmine go back to Korea begging for citizenship. She'll be just as useless there though, as she won't even speak the language!
I thought there was some law that only doctors could tattoo in South Korea, and tattoo artists didn't eat to go through the long processto get that certification? Instead they open secret shops to practice. I think i saw this on a vice documentary though, so take thwt with a grain of salt?
