Could it possibly have something to do with him being born in Germany? Growing up in a bilingual house, my "second" language was always an after thought to me yet I wish I would have put more effort into it now that I'm an adult. (That being said, I can still speak fluently, write and understand). I also look to my SO who is Korean (I am not) and was born in Canada. His parents still made the effort to force him and his brother to keep up with their Korean. I can't speak to his "level" now because I'm not familiar with the categorizations, but let's pretend he's being honest for a second - his mom would have probably tried to teach him and he probably just didn't put enough effort into maintaining it? That's if his mom is Korean ofc - A youtube channel of him singing Kpop https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4JkFlCXHMQ
Yeah I think I noticed his twitter said that he's 17/19 lol. So you seem to be right, one is supposed to be his Korean age edit: I checked his twitter again - not there, but I saw it somewhere... let me go find it Edit 2: here you go https://www.wattpad.com/user/ZandJ_ lol I reverse image searched his "passport photo"
I grew up in Sudbury and went to a different high school than her (i'm Franco-Ontarienne) and I know a number of students in my classes that were similar to Miranda in that they made really simple, stupid spelling mistakes. The girl I'm thinking about (not MAC) had dyslexia so I grew used to her odd miss-spellings. She got through high school just fine because they had to specialize her experience. I've always wondered if MAC had dyslexia, because she likes to "act smart" but she's never improved her spelling. (I'm not going to sit here and armchair diagnose her though... she's just had the same spelling issues since I knew her back in the punksud days.)
I like that she's stepping out of her shell more with different makeup looks! I really do want Taylor to succeed in her YouTube - even though I dislike the eye make-up itself, I really hope she continues down this path so her channel isn't only vlogs.
edit: forgot to include the IG in question haha https://www.instagram.com/jeongie_94/ from what I can tell this is her main acct - https://www.instagram.com/jasmine_rideout/ her acting/model page (she's done some extra work) - https://www.instagram.com/jasmineseanofficial/ here she's a published author (I can't find the book in question?) - https://www.instagram.com/a_books_paradise/ and the most damning evidence that our lovely half korean isn't korean? The photo is quite potato quality but her mom looks pretty caucasian* to me.
Ah I see what you mean. I was looking through her instagram and it looks like she's from Toronto Canada and she posted a photo of herself at a Toronto Blue Jay's game the following day (August 27) so I would assume she got the tattoo done in Toronto. She also posted another photo after the one I linked of her tattoo artist who was a white male - another indication it was probably done in Toronto. Now, I'm sure there are some white males who can speak, read and write Korean... but I would assume that he does not and that she had to bring in a reference for the tattoo (this is what made me laugh because she blamed it on the artist).
To me it looks like someone pointed out that the lining was bad on the letters or it was wrong so she took that as it was poorly spelled? And then passed it off to the public as "Yeah I know it's not spelled right haha!"
Honestly, I'm not sure as I can't read hangul nor do I understand Korean. I just laugh every time someone says the artist was the one who "messed up the tattoo". I would assume that in the first character, the line connecting on the wrong area was what she meant (because to me, the two don't look the same... but that's from someone who's never read hangul in my life).
Not sure if this has been posted here yet or not, but I know that people have been wondering how MAC affords all of her horrible second hand designer clothes. I came across her e-bay profile (I'm avoiding responsibilities ok!?) with her sale history, within only the first page of sales this year she's made over $400 USD selling random trinkets and Japanese things to her fans lol. Edit: She's made +$100USD in the last month. Not to mention she recently bought a hookah... possibly to appear more culturally Muslim? Anyway here's the link if it hasn't been been posted yet.
Just watched her latest vlog, I would love to see her bring us more around Hong Kong. I almost feel a little bad for Taylor because she seems to be stuck in some friendless rut... but she can really only help herself at this point. How does a foreigner go about making friends in Hong Kong? Does Taylor speak any conversational Mandarin or Cantonese?
