Just adding some context for the others: the girl who posted that comment also said that she has been studying Japanese at uni for a year and that she would probably feel shy or awkward to use it, and Kenna replied this
"just go for it" as if everyone can hop on a plane to practice a language in a foreign country and do nothing else in the midtime. Our princess kappa is so down to earth and relatable, we stan
ps. I know that some may find this nitpicky and that kenna's answer is kind of decent, but the fact that she is so obnoxious to her own privilege really gets my nerve
And I was finding it hard to believe the fact that kappa may have read an entire book in her whole life. Who wanna bet that she never actually read a book about northern lights and that she just vaguely remembered this girl comment?
And I'm kind of impressed by her reply on here. She didn't start her usual "my hair are not damaged, you're just jelly" rant. I mean she is still passive aggressive, but still
because Kenna is not a creative person per se. She have a eye for stuff that are on trend in the moment but it's never original, and now that a lot of people are watching her every move she cannot "create" like she used to
I have another tinfoil hat theory: she became vegetarian just because she moved out with her sister Sierra, who's vegetarian and cooked for both of them. Now that she have no one to cook for her, she doesn't care much about it And how lovely it is that she have a tattoo that is suppose to demonstrates her love for animals and be cruelty free and vegetarian from her boho phase
I don't know why, but I have the faint feeling that she is kind of the joke of her class? A little bit like Rachel when she first moved in with Monica in FRIENDS and she was completely out of the world
It's okay as I said, I've shared it because kenna have the habit of replying vaguely about her ethnicity, and taking out the "Turkish card" only when she wants to avvalorate her theory that she is somewhat Asia (and she is not). Her "true" made me cringe and feel almost ashamed for her
BTW, the convo is going on, and basically no one wants Kenna in their ethnic group
I purposely censured her name and shared it because of the second and (mostly for) the last (Kenna's) comment, so I mean I thought it the "ban" was only for her singular comments, not for the convo that it may generate.
And I think than in this case, kenna's reply can be read in two ways: 1) it's true Turkish people can look Asian = I'm asian and 2) I do indeed look a little bit Japanese
