Ach, don't worry about it, it's really frustrating after a while. As you say, especially when a lot of the other flakes have started doing it too Plus it came to me as a big surprise that Venus would be that passive aggressive though. Perhaps, as someone said already, she's been taking lessons from Saltay lol
You have a fair point, but the difference with Mira is that she's been a shitty person for years now, despite people's best efforts to steer her towards the right path and give her some advice, which she's choosing not to take because she's too proud/stupid to realise that it's for her benefit. The reason I feel more sympathy for Venus is that i'm sure she's lonely and her new pet is something she was excited to share with her fans and when I refer to the people 'attacking her', I'm not referring to people trying to be helpful and informative, I literally mean people leaving nasty comments just for the hell of it. I also agree that the salty, passive aggressive attitude isn't cute and she really could have handled it better. I'm by no means sticking up for the girl, just feeling a little sympathy that things didn't work out
I agree she's being passive aggressive (which isn't a great look) but at the same time I feel a little sorry for her. I think the hamster is the first thing she's been really excited about in a while and well... people found fault, became aggressive, made accusations etc. I'd be a little passive aggressive and defensive too if people couldn't just explain to me what was wrong and started attacking me. Then again, I hope she sorts the problem out and gives the hamster a suitable home.
Off topic, but does anyone wish she would stop including Elbow-san so much in her vids? I know she needs him to take her places (although it kinda reminds me of a dad begrudgingly driving his teen daughter to the mall) but there are times where he seems either really awkward or uncomfortable on camera. She even admitted that he zones her out a lot when she's talking (to the camera, but still...) and just... seeing snippets of their relationship at times sort of leaves a bad taste in my mouth because, personally, I don't see any attraction or chemistry between them. I could be totally wrong and get down voted to hell and back, but their interactions on camera seem awkward and stilted to me a lot of the time. That and his kermit the frog voice is really grating to me orz
The big red flag in ALL of this being a scam, is that in one breath Rodi is claiming that Miranda tried to get him drunk and make a move on him whilst she was still in a relationship, he even made a full video calling her out and all her problematic behaviour during their 'friendship'.... now they're making patreons and planning trips and vlogs together. Like seriously, what the fuck Rodi? He mentioned that in the beginning he was desperate for subs and that's the reason he started hanging out with Miranda. Is he still that thirsty for the views that he'll orchestrate fake drama and then act like nothing happened? Jesus Christ, that's low by anybody's standards.
If that's the case, I really do hope she takes people's advice and takes some time to herself to reevaluate I hope she'll get to a place where she can be happy in herself without needing compliments and attention from strangers on the internet.
Taylor's situation is incredibly frustrating to me. On the one hand, I totally sympathise with her - having anxiety and depression myself, burnouts are very much the regular, so I get how she feels. It would explain the surge of low quality vlogs, the rambly moments to try and fill space etc. However, as someone has mentioned previously, Taylor has both the funds and the free time to take herself away from youtube and reassess her situation. If she feels like she needs direction in her life, well, what's to stop her taking a step back from the camera for a few days and try to figure out what she really wants to do with her free time? It's not as though she's living a hand-to-mouth existence, she doesn't depend on youtube the way others would need to depend on a steady job. And as Iagzie said, there are plenty of people out there struggling with depression and anxiety who still manage to get up and go to work/do what they have to do everyday (apologies if i'm grouping people together here). Personally, I find that having structure (my job, for example) tends to help with my anxiety and depression, so perhaps it's time for Taylor to put down the camera and instead of putting all her time in to aimless vlogs, she should get serious and try planning out more quality, structured videos, maybe find another hobby, learn Japanese, focus her energy in to fitness etc. The possibilities are endless, but unfortunately, Taylor never has seemed to have had to work, and I mean really work, hard for anything in her life. Plus her boyfriend enables her lush lifestyle, so why should she bother to lift a finger? Again, I sympathise with her wholeheartedly about feeling depressed and aimless, but the only way she's going to get out of that is if she seeks help or does something about it to change herself.
Unless i'm mistaken about the dates adding up, she's most likely trying to piggyback on the breaking news that Taiwan has become the first place in Asia to legalise gay marriage. Congratulations to Taiwan!
Bi girl from Ireland here and although I don't want to outright say that straight people shouldn't make videos on the topic of LGBT rights in WHATEVER country, I DO think there are instances where they might not necessarily be qualified to make such a video? For example, if they're just going to make a video about what they've experienced but haven't necessarily gone out and done any research on what it's like at LGBT spaces, or spoken to anyone from the community... well, what's the point? You're only giving it from one perspective and it's not necessarily a perspective that is going to be all that illuminating as to how people from the LGBT community are treated on the day to day. However, if Mira were to go out, do some research, maybe even talk to some friends she has from the LGBT community who live in Japan, well, that would certainly make for a much more interesting video. Because it will be from someone who has first hand experiences. Then again, that's just my two cents. I'll be honest and say that I haven't watched the video, and I certainly don't hold on much hope that it's going to be any good, but judging by what @Pearl has written it seems that once again Miranda has made a fool of herself.
Been thinking about the face swelling in her latest video and perhaps that Taylor had been previously using a face slimming lens? And her trip to HK could be her getting new fillers in and she didn't want people to notice the huge contrast in her videos pre and post surgery? Sorry if this seems like a very farfetched idea but it just occurred to me I'll be the first to admit that I don't know the after effects on one's face after having fillers enhanced (or whatever it is she's doing) but I thought it could be a possibility.
Yeah, Sharla doesn't seem to really do anything interesting as of late. It's either pokemon centre, cats, pokemon go, more cats or vegan related stuff. Even in the videos during her most recent trip to Taylor's Sharla looks so done with the girl. It gives me the impression that all she's really interested in is a place to crash when she's got business in Tokyo and can't be bothered to pay for a hotel (and that does make me feel a little sorry for Taylor ). I don't know, maybe i'm reaching, but I do feel Sharla is a shady bitch in general, but i'm starting to get vibes that she's using Taylor big time. Also- could anybody PM me and tell me what the deal is with her and Mimei? I feel as if i've missed something and I don't want to derail the thread.
The dress is really beautiful and definitely suits her! The only thing I would say is that perhaps she should wear her hair AWAY from her face, if she doesn't want to put it up that is. With the right makeup, Taylor would look really stunning! The other thing that caught my attention in this video is that she mentioned some time ago she had a moment in the car with her boyfriend, crying about how she 'doesn't know if she can do this anymore' in regards to vlogging. Well... then don't do it? Pick a few days during the week, or days that you KNOW are going to be eventful and vlog those? I know the running joke is that Taylor doesn't exactly push herself, and I agree, but sometimes her vlogs DO feel rather empty and forced and part of me thinks that she should take a step away from the camera and enjoy time with her friends rather than feeling the need to document every. single. interaction. I feel like she and her little jvlogger group could all use a day together without the cameras, but then again, they'd have to actually interact with one.
