Honestly, here I can even see the resemblance between Joan and Jisoo (in the second picture). Slightly, but still.
And we need to remember that Joans dermatologist is not a dermatologist, but a beautician. And she might've misunderstood, because while pores don't open and close, they do tighten when you put cold water on them. Your skin generally feels really firm and tight once you put something cold on it. She should've fact checked herself before repeating wrong information.

Let's be honest though, half of these views are there because of Erin.

Oh gee... guys... I just watched friends the whole day (I know, I know...) but.... Chandler broke up with a girl in season 2. Her name is Joan. He breaks up with her because of her huge nostrils.
Now this is super mean, but since people have been saying that Joan has rather large nostrils I immediately had to think of the forum. I though it was quite funny.... m sorry.

I saw her stories on Instagram two days ago and I had my sound off. I thought she talked about something over her, because she kept pointing. She did it again and again so I turned the sound on to find out what was going on. And she didn't talk about anything that would've required pointing at the camera aggressively. I was super confused and turned off, so I skipped the rest.
Today I looked at her stories again and she was pointing aggressively AGAIN. I can't unsee it now! Why is she doing this constantly? It looks like she is lecturing us? It's weird and quite aggressive. I don't know if this is a cultural thing, but if I used my finger to point like her all the time while talking, my mom would tell me to stop pointing at her and find a more pleasant way to talk hahaha. Wait.. Am I the weird one?

I feel exactly the same way as you, kittycat007! The winter vlogs with Erin, when they spent hours walking around town, visiting this really mesmerizing museum where they talked to the artists there and when they were visiting very unique and beautiful cafés, restaurants etc. I really miss those times, but then, nowadays I think it might've been Erin who made those vlogs enjoyable. She seems like such a lovely and hardworking person. She seems to enjoy art and I find her appreciating beauty in a more sincere way than Joan ever has. She's intelligent and cultured and never really seems to judge anyone. She never judged Joan for her decisions and she never seemed bitchy. I'm glad she has her own channel now.
Oh, and I felt kind of bad recently when people said Joan spends too much time at Gentle Monster. We don't have one where I'm from (though other beautiful concept stores) and I loooooove this store. Tamburins as well! It's so innovative and creative and beautiful to look at. They had incredible artists visiting the store a while back, live painting on glass walls and people. They had beautiful art performances, and I generally love the idea of interactive art. I'd move in if I could hahaha. But for vlogs it definitely gets old.

I mean, yeah, she's been pretty rough with her skin and she's not using sunscreen properly (which gives me a headache knowing she grew up in sunny California), buuuut... some things are absolutely and 100% genetic. Sure, using skin care appropriately will help prevent them from worsening (or even more important, help you to not get skin cancer in the future, which is the most important aspect) but especially things like heavy lines under your eyes, smile lines and sometimes even wrinkles on your forehead are genetic. If that area of her face is generally deeper (face structure) it's going to show lines.
I also find it a bit hypocritical to make fun of some YouTubers for getting work done on their face and in the same breath recommending it to someone, or even making fun of that person, when they themselves might've never felt insecure about it in the first place. I'm not talking about anyone in this forum, or anyone specific at all. It's just an overall trend I've been noticing, even in YouTube comments and I find it very toxic.

She does look quite a bit like Joan! But like she's her prettier younger sister.  With beautiful well cared for hair.. and pretty brows.
JOAN... look! Do your brows like hers! It would really benefit your look!  I think she'd look quite pretty with silky, evenly coloured hair and well formed brows.
The girl with the white skirt and baby blue shirt resembles Joan a tiny bit as well, and she's super beautiful.

What shocked me was that the photo was supposed to be an advertisement for Laneige wtf. The lip mask was the last thing that drew my eye to it. If I worked at Laneige (holla me up people, I love your brand haha) I would ask her to take it down and take a new picture that really focusses on the product and suits the brand image, which is very classy and clean.

Isn't it funny that people said she looked like a grandma or auntie before... now she even got a bad bob cut and wants to color it grey. Joan is finally developing into her true form.

Hmm, I think you're on to something Serenity. It couldn't have been accidental that Abe recreated more or less the exact same look. Joan was probably sponsored, but since it wasn't screaming Blackpink she made her brother act like he was picking out the outfits when she only wanted to recreate the exact same outfit on the website (low effort, gets paid, gets to say it's not her "regular" style while still getting that coin).
Some brands do actually have super weird wishes for their videos. Like.. make it seem like you didn't get it sent from us, make it look this and that way, post it on this and that day, incorporate it into something else.. stuff like that, but then they tell that to 200 influencers so we end up with the same "not sponsored" video by all of the famous gurus.

I'm sorry, I know this is mean, I know I'm usually a softy and feel bad about everything and what not but OOOOOH MY GOD DOES SHE LOOK STUPID IN THAT SECOND PICTURE I'm soooo sorry but.... what's thaaaaat? She doesn't even look this stupid in real life. It's just that picture! The first one is fine. Vaseline heh, classy.
And if she really dated Junoflo and he cheated, gurls gonna fuuuuume after the picture he posted together with Blackpink hehe

I mean, in some way it links up with her saying that she's had a tough time recently. But honestly, I think they probably "dated" for two months tops. And then he went on to another girl. So how does it explain her comment about dating while broadcasting? Well, she probably had a boyfriend back then, for a few months tops, but they broke up shortly after she gained more subscribers. That's the only way her schedule could be explained.
And Joan.. you're not sassy. And we've seen it. You're just a mean bitch to your friends sometimes.

I don't think she's stingy with things besides designer bags, but generally with anything someone else wants to have. If it's her own wish, yeah, sure, spend 2000$ on something just because you saw an idol wearing it, but if Coco wants to invest in some good make up brushes she asks if they are made of gold.
Joan only ever cares about herself, her own interests and her own views. She never listens to anyone when they talk, so why would she respect their wishes and how they spend their money?

That's actually a very beautiful idea. You have a very beautiful mind, I must say.  That thought didn't even cross my mind.
The unfortunate thing about this situation is that, like hushiamtalking said, most people won't listen.. Which annoys me quite a bit. Most of their fans are irrational kids I guess.. And while donating would be amazing (or not bringing anything, especially when you're asked to) I feel like most of these kids would get angry about their favourite unnies not appreciating them and their presents. I hate this new wave of entitled, over the top youngsters that think people are basically their property and have to do as they wish. People should honestly learn what respect is. Respect towards the environment, the less fortunate, people their age and their idols. I get very frustrated seeing this amount of products go to waste. Just look at Joans 40 bottles of hair care product on her insta stories. WHO THE HELL NEEDS THIS? People need to stop crossing lines. Joan included.

People like Joan or Q2HAN really need to tell fans to give them one present and one letter per person max. It's such a waste. They can't eat all the snacks up before they meet their fans again. And a lot of the little presents they will never use or it'll just be clutter. You can't really appreciate the presents when there are so many. A few meaningful presents, sure. But this is getting out of hand. Where should they put all this stuff? The'll have to rent a separate apartment to store all that clutter.
i know these fans mean well, and I'm not trying to say the girls shouldn't be thankful, but it's honestly a waste. Plus it accumulates a lot of unneeded trash for one person. If I were in their shoes I would've told fans to only bring one thing per person months ago. I wouldn't want them to waste all their savings on me, especially since they are all so young!
