The attempts to force korean into their videos is just cringey and sad. "Appa" can barely speak korean, that dad speaks in korean video was like 80% in english smh. Why do they even call him that when they speak 100% in english to each other every day, it comes off awkward and forced.
this song just sounds so generic and dated, like it sounds like a filler track from a taylor swift album circa 2012. the lyrical content is just ass, and the theme is vaguely similar to itzy's dalla dalla with the whole I do what I want, I live my life the way I please except they did it 1000x better... and idk if it's the choreography or just her dancing but that dance break is so cringey and hard to watch. i mean if this is the music she wants to make then go head girl, i think she built enough of a fanbase to make anything she does not flop per se. but she literally could've gone to any label to make this kind of music, there's nothing unique or different about it that would necessitate her moving to yg. this post might be too critical so i will say that she looked very pretty lol and the hyper manic atmosphere of the video was cute i guess. this song was just not my cup of tea.
not really, in that pic the left (to the viewer) lash is applied correctly so that the lash goes forward then curves up, the right just sticks straight up. if she pushes the right lash downward a little so it matches the curve of the other lash it would look better. like so:
anyway it's not a big deal so idk what problem you're seeing. all i said was that the lash application was bad, it has nothing to do with her uneven eyelids which she can't help.
I admire this about joan tbh, the pressure to look perfect is no joke. She goes from southern california to south korea, two places known for really high beauty standards, and she hasn't succumbed to the pressure to go under the knife. Not that there's anything wrong with plastic surgery but it's just so uncommon to see someone with their natural face in the beauty world.
I disagree. She's pretty for a normal girl and definitely pretty enough to be an idol but not pretty enough for it to be the reason for her making it if you get what I mean. If you compare her to other girls whose primary role is visual, they all shit on her. I don't think comparing her to girls who are visually okay but amazing singers or dancers is a fair comparison cause that's not their role. That's what I mean by her visuals are average, they're not amazing enough for her to get by with her stiff dancing and awkward singing. You can still disagree though, aesthetics are subjective and all that.
I mean... was there any real chance of her making it big as an idol, let's be real. She can't sing, she can't dance, her visuals are average at best, she has nothing that stands out about her nor does she have any stage presence or any real charisma. Even considering all these things she might've been able to make it as a singer IF she had some soul and authenticity but the music she wants to make and feels passionate about is flat ass generic pop. Like girl if you're that concerned about becoming a singer did it ever occur to you to... get singing lessons.... If she did and this was the end product then I have nothing more to say lmao.
Just my two cents but these youtubers make way more than they let on. Sponsorships and collabs can literally go into tens of thousands not to mention all the free stuff they're sent. This is why, despite all their bitching, they'll never quit the game; it's too much money for too little effort. Buying ugly designer goods or useless expensive cameras is definitely poor money management but she probably doesn't think about that kind of stuff cause she earns enough to justify it, at least for now. As long as she can retain her audience, poor financial decisions are the least of her worries. And as long as koreaboos exist in this world, she will have an audience.
