We've heard you loud and clear - negative reputation is back. Remember that it's still against the rules to complain about being downvoted - if you think someone's mass-downvoting posts or otherwise abusing the reputation system, DM a mod and we will take care of it.
my theory is that she declined signing up for more school, forcing her to switch her visa to a tourist visa. She would have 90 days on that visa, then she can leave and re-enter the country for a second round of 90 days. That gives her 6 months (give or take a few days), to try and get her 'talent career' started.
Ya know, if she still has some trust fund money left after her year in Japan, she should go take some interior design courses and try that out. We all agree she had some style during her boho phase, and she can be very good at creating an asthetic space. She has potential to be pretty good at it. The best part is that she would just have to select other people's creations to put in the rooms. Seems like a great fit.
Language schools in Japan can be really intense. If she has a student visa she will have to be in an intensive cocourse and not just a general course. You study at school about 4 hours and then are expected to put in at least 4 hours of study a day, everyday. Its not mandatory but it is expected. I hope she can keep up.
I have some experience with Japanese visas. The basic process is that you submit you application (in the USA thi will be in person or via post depending on how far away you live from the consulate). They then will tell you it takes up to three months to process (the longest I've ever heard of it taking or seen it take is 1.5 months). Then she would have to go pick it up in person. The consulate will also have reduced hours over the Christmas and New Years Holiday, and will close for at least 4 days, from New Years Eve to the 3rd of January.
Children literally cannot pay into the healthcare system. They are children. They cannot hold a job. their parents pay on theitheir behbehalf. You cannot liken a child not paying into the healthcare system to a grown adult woman who no longer pays taxes in her home cpuntry and only visits it. There is a stark difference.
Now, am i mad that she may use Canadian healthcare to have her child if she is pregnant? No. She is a citizen. She has every right to have her child in her home country. Especially she will need to be paying property taxes now.
Im tempted to boycott Youtube for 48 hours or something similar. Id almost say unsubscribe/delete accounts but i dont want to harm the other creators on the website. I just want to show Youtube that they need to act in response to this.
Assholes like Logan make life for all of us expats living in Japan thst much more difficult. It alienates us even more tban before and we have to be extra contientious of our behaviour. Its 2 steps forward and 700 f*cking steps backwards thanks to this asshole.
His behavior around Tokyo is embarrassing. And im not even American.
Yumi. You aren't supposed to use the snow as an ingredient to make ice cream, you use it as the freezing agent!
What she should have done was combine 1 cup full fat milk (or 3/4 cup milk and 1/4 cup cream) into a sandwich sized ziploc baggie along with about 1 tbsp sugar and a few drops of vanilla extract. Thrbtake a giant ziploc style bag and filled it 1/2 of the way full with snow. Throw some rock salt in there (roughly 3 tbsp) and the stuck the small baggie inside after sealing it with as little air in it as possible. Seal the big baggie and shake for about 10 minutes. Snow ice cream the proper way.
