Does anyone here watch Meejmuse/Jen? She's not problematic and she's seems to be very genuine. She's a beauty youtuber more than a vlogger and has just under 500k subs but she's made a series called 'Streets Of Seoul' which is interesting imo (I'll link in the spoiler) She also has her own line of makeup brushes and I think she's releasing another set next year as well. She recently came out with a short series called 'Meej Muses' where she talks about why she came to Korea and how much of a culture shock it was and how she struggled in the beginning. Something that liked was how open she was, she talked about how before she left so down (she didn't say depressed) but recently she's been much more better and you can see that in her video quality, like a couple of months ago she would post about once a month and they would usually be monthly faves but now she's uploading once a week or more and you can tell how much more happier she is in the videos and I love it so much. Sorry I went a bit ott
I don't keep up with her, so I don't know the timeline in which she dyes her hair but it could be yeah. I remember when I dyed the bottoms of my hair green w/o any bleach and then when I actually bleached my hair the part which I dyed came out very orange.
Man even a 5 minute deep conditioning mask will make such a big difference to her hair. Does she bleach her hair at home? Because I feel like she would really benefit if she went to a salon to get it professionally done
I honestly think they (not just him but overall) allow themselves to do that simply because Shownu and Wonho like to work out and show off their body. And it's a shitty excuse tbh, just because someone likes to reveal their abs or whatever doesn't give people the right to make those comments. To me, someone working out and then showing their body off because their proud of it is the same as someone working hard on a piece of art and then going around aroud showing it off because their proud of what they did.
I know this has probably been talked about a 100 times but I really hate how he over sexualizes Monsta X, esp Wonho. Like maybe it's because I'm a 'soft stan' but I don't like it when people over sexualize idols anyway. I'm pretty sure they at least know of him anyway so how can just post captions like that and not even be embarrassed in the slightest. He says 'jk lol' but I think we all know that he's not joking
Does she actually buy music? Because she seems like the type complain about things failing and blame other people for not streaming and buying their stuff but she herself does not do it. (not just kpop though, i mean whatever she has an 'interest' of)
What's sad is that my insecure ass back when I got into Kpop in 2014 would of fell for all that bs and I'm so glad that I didn't find that website back then. They just target insecure black girls and they know exactly what they're doing which is just mad especially since these girls obviously love Korean culture and they know that they like pale skin and eurocentric features. My self confidence went to absolute shit when I got into kpop, seeing all these girls with thin legs and slim figures made me a lot more self aware and my friends were also slim but I wasn't. I wasn't fat nor overweight, I just had thick thighs and a disproportionate body and it took me a few years it realise that I was just fine as I was but these girls who read what they post will never get to that point of realising that you don't need to have recognition or approval by some Asian dudes to be deemed beautiful by their standards. I don't why her and her fans I guess get so upset when an idol says they prefer girls with light skin, because even if they didn't it's not like they would have a chance with them either way. Like what's difference between a Korean dude saying "I like Asian girls only" and them saying "I only date Asian guys (or whatever)" ? Why are they only getting upset about what these guys are saying when they're doing the exact same thing. It's quite scary when you think about how insecure she must have been to create that blog and think that any sort interaction between an idol and and black woman definitely means that they like black girls and all the people that think like that too.
Her Hogwarts house thingy actually reminds me of those crappy Wattpad fanfics where the main girl is like: "I fit into all the houses so they decided to make a new for me" or "The sorting hat placed me a in an undiscovered house that no-one new about for centuries!!!"
