I mean, compared to other Youtuber's clothing lines , it's probably one of the better ones (but the bar is pretty low). But yeah, all the designs are basically ripped off old/no-longer-in/basic trends. You could probably find all these designs in Korea at a market stall for about $10. Considering she's an exclusively fashion content-oriented channel, she definitely could've tried harder, and have come up with at least some original or practical designs. Disappointed EDIT: just viewed the lookbook, and FOR REAL, some of the pieces are actually really tacky. the long sleeve with script + bomber jacket with script was popular about 3 years ago and in 2017 is super super super tacky, mesh died last year (same w. the tracksuit set), the try again shirt looks like a kindergarten logo, that floral jumpsuit is ugly (mainly the print + color), that shapes/stripes two-piece I liked at first but is uglier each time I look at it (would probably look worse irl on the streets), the striped skirt + fuzzy purple jumper has never, and will never, be a good look. so actually, there's barely anything to like or admire in this collection.
Honest question, but how does Joan's non-Youtube friends afford to simply eat with her that often? Like, just in ONE day (from most recent vlog), they had a full spread brunch, went to an expensive cafe for drinks + dessert, fancy tea, and then dinner? I would even comprehend it if it was only a weekly occurrence, but in every vlog Claudine has appeared in, which is like 6 out of the past 10 days of vlogs (or something like that), they had at least one big meal. How?? They go during the day, so it seems like Claudine does not have a job and mainly works on her blog? (does anymore knw more??) This probably reflects my own lifestyle for noticing, but tbh I'm quite jealous aha. Afterthought: maybe Joan pays? she eats out everyday anyway
yeah, iamkareno's style is also completely unoriginal. i swear in the past month i've had at least 5 separate accounts i follow grace my feed with their 100% original, edgy, and unique styling of checkered pants. +10 if its those fugly unifxhellokitty pants. if u don't have the looks, natural assets, or talent (like posing and body language), you would hope an aspiring model would at least have some fashion sense. That tank top, pants, and shoe combo is not a good look.
i love the clothes her friend gave her honestly more fashionable than anything she owns in her closet (i also thought the exact same when she mentioned a gold??! skirt to go with the top...i was like no GIRL please dont ruin this)
lol at slapping korean onto mundane things to make it "better" (also in general). next up -Korean armpits -Korean feet -Korean acne -Korean sneezes be trending Kboos are always like, Today I went and had KOREAN lunch, I LOVE (KOREAN) SPICY FOOD!!!, with my KOREAN boyfriend who taught me some KOREAN while we planned for our summer trip to KOREA. A KOREAN lady asked if I was KOREAN and tbh that's the best compliment I have ever got in my life!!! BTW who's excited for the *insert kpop concert*??!! Saranghaeyo! There's never anything wrong with liking 'korean' things, just over-emphasizing and obsessive behavior = fetishisizing
PICK A SOCK AND WE'LL GUESS YOUR HEIGHT, AGE, GENDER, PUPPY'S NAME AND HOUSE ADDRESS! Also this: https://www.buzzfeed.com/jonah/2017-update-on-diversity-at-buzzfeed?utm_term=.isvNKXkEV#.gfRQ9lDar It's great they have a diverse team and prioritize opportunities for minorities, but having a racial quota seems try-hard and disingenuous. Like just hire POC based on their abilities without pushing it into everyone's faces how great you are for doing so. Wouldn't be surprised if Buzzfeed hired some employees purely because they're gay and not white.
people rarely ship any lesbian couples in the kpop community so in my mind fetishizing idols into gay couples from a straight (or asexual, doesn't excuse it) girl is basically the disgusting equivalent of when a male has a thing for girls making out to get himself off
