Woah I haven't kept up with Taylor in awhile and this was interesting news. This move to HK will DEFINITELY benefit her, and im kinda excited for her??? Her time in Japan was just becoming repetitive and like we've all noticed before, Taylor seems much more lively in HK. I also kinda expected this since she removed the katakana after her youtube username and changed her header and everything to be less ~kawaii~ im lowkey gonna miss her japan house tho lol i always thought it was really cool Other than that the more I think about it it's like this era of jvloggers is coming to an end. Bii and Kim left, Sharla's gonna leave, etcetcetc. Wonder who will the new group if there will be one of jvloggers will be. I can lowkey see this happening though, but as much as I find Taylor's content cringey, she does have a pretty interested fanbase. But I know most people followed her primarily for Japan stuff, and I can see a few people finally unfollowing lol. Like when Sharla leaves Japan idk if people would still be interested? yea this is just speculation so take my opinions w a grain of salt lol
Also does anyone know when she's leaving? I watched the video but i cant remember if she said it or not.
I'm kinda confused as why they went to a christian cafe, especially out of all the ~*~*bizarre~*~*~* cafes they could've gone to. The decor looked pretty but other than that I'm kinda confused because none of them seem really religious? They barely showed any of the place too lol TBH I only watched the video cause I really like Alexa, she seems pretty genuine and is really pretty imo. Brings out a somewhat better side of Taylor
YES Any ideas of what topics we should have in the subforum? I really like the ideas of memes about Alex (looool) so if anyone has some saved I think we should compile them into a thread cause that would be hilarious. But we also need some more "substantial" threads so maybe one about his Youtube videos or other videos reguarding Alex, his merch, Tinybuild, etc. Any more suggestions or tweaks to my suggestions would be welcomed!!
Gosh that is WAAAAAY over priced. It looks like he just ironed on the images and that they will come off with one wash in the washing machine. Anyone with an iron, iron-on paper, and a printer could make these t-shirts. Also adding a mug to his merch line kinda confuses me? Mugs are necessary and all but a yansim mug??? It just doesn't appeal to me in anyway, even if I was a fan of the game. I feel like he would have better luck selling posters but he would probs have to steal more art for that
I agree its ridiculous and kinda scammy. It's been hard for me to find good sellers on depop lately who have decent prices and cute (sometimes thrifted) clothes. I understand the point of thrifting but beefing up the price isn't cool...
Kinda reminds me of the stuff they sell at Forever 21, she's probably pretty influenced by them. I wonder what the quality of the clothes is like. I've had shitty pairs of leggings before and they were overall just terrible. Started pilling and got pretty thin to the point where they could easily rip. Also they made my body have like no shape. The funny thing is that these leggings actually were from Forever 21. EDIT: checked the website where she's selling the clothes and this is what I found out about the leggings lol. I don't know much about fabrics and such but I guess these are "built to last"
I understand both your points here. Enjoying/embracing a culture is not cultural appropriation. Accepting new ideas from other cultures can be beneficial towards society, and bring other cultures together. Mocking or having little knowledge about what you're embracing can make things a little more complicated. I agree that sometimes Taylor does overuse memes featuring black people and her use of rap and such can be a little cringey at times... I hope she learns one day
Ignore my shitty looking quote omg... idk what I did. But about the video, the beginning was kinda interesting and actually worth listening. But the ~5 minutes footage of cats was unnecessary and boring, but what else did we expect from Sharla. This video honestly reminded me of a Taylor vlog: Rambling (~*~*Shay Talk??~*~*~)Footage of petsCraftsAlso I wish she would put in like a video filler or something when she's talking to her husband, it would be much more pleasant to look at instead of a wall.
Dam I almost feel kinda bad for Bijuu. He's one of the key figures in the YanSim community who keeps hyping up and promoting the game. If anything Alex should thank Mike. but i guess that's what u get when ur blinded by the almighty daddydev
I like how Taylor has been showing more of her ~natural~ ~makeupless~ face in her videos. I'm glad she's more comfortable w/ herself and is willing to show some naturalness. if only she would admit to the plastic surgery cough
Bijuu Mike has actually been bothering me for awhile too. I think it's the fact that he is unable to see how shitty YandereSim is and worships Alex. His channel is basically him milking YanSim for any possible content and basically just beating a dead horse. I bet he is a nice person (and doesn't deserve a thread, he isn't that important) but the videos he produces are mind numbing (one can only take so much YanSim) and redundant. I hope one day he actually tries to do something a little different and realize there are more games to play. Jay, on the other hand, is a great Youtuber imo. Yansim definitely got him popular but he's branched out and has a variety of content. Jay has even took notice of Yansim's lack of content and has slowly stopped producing so many videos about the game despite some of his fans asking for more videos. On his twitter he said there really isn't much new content to show, so a new video would be kind of pointless. ////sorry for off topic yansim youtuber talk but i really had to add my input
What I like about Sharla's Canada vlogs is that she doesn't force the camera into her families' faces and probably checks in with them to make sure it's okay to film, unlike Taylor. For example while driving with her grandma she doesn't put the camera on her face which doesn't make the vlog feel uncomfortable. Everything is a lot more natural and watchable.
