Cry posted a youtube video for the first time in 6 months, and he put an explanation/apology in the description: I'm very glad he's doing better and getting help! I hope he'll actually enjoy making and sharing content on youtube again!!
I've been debating about whether to post this lady here or not, but I think she might fit the thread. I found her via r/tattoo where she posted a few pictures of her wip sleeve. These are the photos that I saw that made me go "huh":
I looked a little bit through her post history and she claims to be half-Japanese, but I'm kind of suspicious. She also replied to a comment on the transracial subreddit once, which... yeah, I think that speaks for itself. I managed to find her instagram too, but I don't really feel comfortable sharing her @ on here, since she has barely any followers and I don't want anyone to think I have a personal vendetta against her or anything :') Anyway, here are some screenshots: I'm honestly still not sure if she's actually race-faking or not, but the reason why I ultimately decided to post her here is this screenshot she shared:
I censored her first name, but her last name is apparently Jang. I'm willing to believe that she's mixed Japanese + Caucasian, but Jang isn't a Japanese last name. And there's no way in hell this lady is also half-Korean. What do you guys think?
I don't really remember if this has been discussed before, but I was wondering about her being a "published author". What writing of hers exactly has been published? I looked at those stories on her wattpad account and all of them are godawful and littered with errors. I'll put some examples here, so you guys don't have to go look for it:
I'm sorry for double-posting and reviving a dead thread, but she uploaded a video that's at least a little interesting. TL;DW - She loved painting a lot in college and she decided that's what she wanted to do for the rest of her life - She didn't have a job after college, so she started making youtube videos in attempt to push her instagram - Having to put out videos all the time started stressing her out after a while, and she got super burned out and didn't enjoy making art anymore - She asked her followers for advice on her content and they all said they wanna see her draw and paint more, so she realized that she's doing all of those art hack/review/clickbait-y videos, when she should be making art videos instead - In conclusion, she'll do more straight-up art videos from now on and she is very happy with that decision
Also, not to be mean after a video like this, but this is the first time I've seen her use oil paints (which she studied in college), and watching her paint makes me physically cringe. The way she handles the brush does not look like she knows what she's doing, and as usual her color choices are... something else.
Yeah, visa-hopping, it's kind of a grey area. AFAIK it's not technically allowed, but there's also nothing stopping people from doing it. I think the Korean government just turns a blind eye because they want that tourist money...
I watched some of Bom's music show appearances and it's really rough... she has basically no facial expressions, she never even smiles. I'm glad she's making music again, but I get kinda sad when I see her tbh
Ugh, her latest video is so boring... and I actually physically cringed when she was shading that skull. She presses down SO hard and it seems like none of her strokes have any finesse at all. And yeah, those flowers are pretty shit Also, I noticed that she draws skulls all the time?! I really wish she'd find something else to draw, it's so unimaginative... Just for funsies I made a collage of all the skulls she has drawn in the past few years (from newest to oldest):
I pretty regularly see teens with BTS (or other kpop) backpacks, who also dress kind of like idols... they definitely exist. I guess they just won't be as obvious irl, because of the lack of filters, editing, and self-confidence lol
