I completely agree with what you say. Also imo: Since her sense of humor really only appeals to teeny boppers in their K-Pop phase, it isn't a stable audience since her viewers are just coming into that phase and others are growing out of it. Meaning that her viewers are probably coming and going, and an audience like this isn't going to last her very long. If she gave normal reviews and stuck to improving her skin I really do believe that she would attract a much more mature audience that would probably last her longer.
I was gonna make a joke about her doing a DIY video where she puts tacky pendants like these onto her Walmart kitty collars, but she doesn't even do DIYs anymore lol. Yumi... I have so many good ideas... I know you lurk here... Haha!
She looks nice when she dresses normal like that. But does she enjoy grossing people out... She says something like "this is what it actually looks like behind the scenes!!!" while pointing at how it messed up her foundation, but of course her foundation is going to stretch around and flake off if she puts glue straight on it. She should have wet the spoolie and worked a thinner amount of glue into her brows, or maybe have used hairspray instead? idk it looks a mess and I feel like she intentionally does a sloppy job to sensationalize her videos, and in that way it kind of compares to this video she did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egzNfDdFcuM In a lot of her videos she seems to intentionally do a bad job to yield bad results so she can complain about it and go "zOMG GUIZE dis is wat it ACTUALLY lookz leik!!! XDD" and it's getting old.
Ugh these people make me so angry. Their level of "pranking" is literally on par with that of a playground bully. Anyways, I don't see how they don't think that this isn't hurting their child? He's in tears and those belongings are clearly precious to him...
"Fifteen years young" but she still calls herself an adult? Am I missing something? This kid needs to calm down. She says some dumb shit. That rant about women for instance. "The closest you got to reading literature was 50 Shades of Grey" Oh yeah? Is reading the key to a man's heart? If I tell men that I've read The Great Gatsby and Huckleberry Finn, are they going to fight to the death for me???
It's so interesting, seeing her write like this. Yumi is clearly a very intelligent woman, idk why she sells herself short on her YT channel. Her content is boring but maybe if she dropped the persona and kept it real, it would be more interesting? This is a really cool find, thanks for putting it up here!
New drinking game: Every time he makes a sexual reference or any other kind of needless innuendo, take a shot. In all seriousness though, it really throws off the mood. Like he can be giving a great review or tutorial, and I'll be listening intently and soaking in all the information, and then he just makes a stupid awkward joke and I hear the record scratch in my brain and I'm like
I've tried shaving my face before, because after hearing about the "micro-exfoliation", "enhanced collagen production", "fading scars", "better makeup application", and all that other good shit I was like "heck yeah??". Why wouldn't I want all that good stuff?? Sign me the HECK up and make me beautiful. So I tried about three times with Japanese disposable facial razors, and each time I broke out... At first I didn't know what I was doing wrong? Why wasn't my skin beautiful and glowy with smooth makeup? Why was my skin a red and bumpy wasteland?? Turned out that there was a bunch of acne triggers and irritants in the moisturizer that I always used right after shaving (Aveeno Positively Radiant), LOL. Major L on my part but I'm ready to try it again in the near future, this time with a different moisturizer (honey and coco oil probably). Anyways. Maybe I'm just too optimistic and I'm doomed to a life of non-smooth-makeup-application. Jk. If it goes good I'll update and share my story, I guess...
