Hello. It has been a long time coming, but we finally have a PULL FAQ! In this FAQ you may find answers to most commonly asked questions here on the site. Please make sure to read the FAQ before asking a question in the Site Feedback (formerly the "Make Your Voice Heard") subforum as chances are your question has already been answered. If it has not been answered, then feel free to ask your question within the thread or make a new one with your question. The FAQ can be found in 2 locations: The News & Announcements section and the Site Feedback section. We hope this helps current and new users. Thank you.
I think your post does clarify/provide an interesting perspective for me. I totally agree that what she will do as a member of the community is more questionable because there is a precedent here-- in terms of what she has done for BLM and the asian community during corona. I just think the recent comments though don't touch the same topics that you did and are just assumptive of her actual sexuality, which doesn't have the same basis/precedent. I do recall her making jokes before that do seem somewhat baity, but I'm not sure if I could personally consider them insensitive (as someone who could never come out to their parents). Maybe she just liked the attention? Which is still kinda weird. But I agree with you on that the general consensus shouldn't automatically be that she is trying to be different, as opposed to exploring her sexuality like anyone else.
Although I don't condone the light use of "childhood trauma," with all due respect, we really don't know what's going on with her life. This post comes off as unnecessarily condescending and assumptive. I doubt the eating yogurt situation was it lmfao for her to cut off contact with her parents/avoid them. Again, I agree the term "trauma" shouldn't be thrown around carelessly, but I think you have a strong bias here. She didn't overshare like she usually does so that was a step in the right direction. I believe she could have worded it better, but with you saying "she'll have given birth to 1000..." I felt the need to add my own thoughts here. -- Also, I was kinda disappointed to see such a negative reaction here concerning her sexuality. Her sexuality is her business. As someone who's identified as pan for a while, I'm glad that she is taking her time in exploring. She said she's still "figuring it out" multiple times and "saying you don't claim her" and shit is really stupid. She never even alluded to being bi as "fun/trendy" and I genuinely feel that if she was using sexuality for attention, she would have done so earlier and not as part of a Q&A. Like @shestealsart said, you can be misogynistic and attracted to women. A lot of comments here aren't focusing on the parts of the video/her content that could actually be considered problematic. For instance, how she said the tiktok we spent pages discussing was her favorite one that she made. I've always been supportive/defensive of PULL but I think it's because I've read the thread from the start-- reading these more recent comments, how harsh/nitpicky they are really stand out lol as opposed to a slow progression getting here.
im surprised no one has talked about this yet, but her comment about her mother making her eat expired yogurt kinda explains i guess her relationship with her parents a little. they do seem to be very focused on not wasting despite considerable wealth and that could have been a potential source of tension. but it really bugs me that she would still bring depression up about her dad? depression is not a joke, and i understand joking about it is a coping mechanism (that she uses so much ofc) but like this joke wasn't even about her, it was about someone else.
i mean honestly i'm not really sure how to respond to this-- i think it is too off topic because it is less about her, but the article is so vague and university staff is so extensive it's hard for us to say he was involved it seems a lil sus but maybe he was just saying as it is that he can't talk about it legally? idk i wouldn't think it's important enough to keep looking into
i just think its funny that the comment trashing on her looks and my comment subtly saying that it isn't okay to do that both got like the same amount of likes ashley may put down other women, but isn't it hypocritical to do the same exact thing? yikes that makes you just as bad as her lol probably even worse-- considering we don't have record of her making fun of physical features other people are born with
i actually think she is really pretty! i think no one should be put down for their actual physical features. the problem here isn't the face she was born with, but her attitude and behavior. i personally thought she looked amazing without bangs and with her original makeup (before she used sm blush)
okay lol definitely going against the popular opinion here but honestly I think if she just fixed her eyeliner + blush (just these two things) the look would look x100 better, so imo, it's not 100% awful
i got no reponse when i asked why my post was taken down, but i got this-- so unbelievable lmfao this is so inappropriate. i have been nothing but respectful to the members of the thread in bringing light to ashley's issues
also they really compared us to 4chan... i have never met such ignorant people. and like they have the sources to educate themselves.
