I'm gonna go kinda OT for the first part of this reply and don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning what cupcake did but I kinda feel like I have to say cupcakke's whole image is inherently sexual that's just how she presents herself, and I don't really view what she said as sexualising Jungkook rather than acknowledging his attractiveness in her own extra way and an overly sexual being. personally I see saying you'd fuck someone and sexualising them to be different (like sexualising would be more like those smuts deeply describing what you'd do to the members, videos of those zoomed in parts etc.) that doesn't at all mean to say that she should've said it, it's just to say that she really shouldn't be demonised for it and be sent death threats when there are people every day mentioning who they'd fuck. Okay back on the topic of Edward, lol, the guy said it for shock value man. Like honestly, he doesn't know what Jungcook or other idols are thinking and he cannot speak for them so?? Like although I said what I said about cupcakke, I still think that it is an unnecessary remark to make and to say that no one gives a shit about things like that? he really has his head in his ass these days huh
I agree to an extent like.. cupcakke's whole image is inherently sexual and I get sexualising idols is problem that shouldn't be ignored but.. she didn't really even sexualise him she just said she'd fuck him and to me those things are different, like she's acknowledging his attractiveness is her own extra manner and, tbh, doing a lot kinder than those fans who write smuts involving the members lol. and fucking sending her death threats??? like she's literally falling off the map now bc it upset her so much the girl is only 20. Yes that means she's old enough to know right from wrong but also it's her image, that's just how she presents herself so idk
I kind of see that as well but I don't know... when people drop little Korean or Japanese into sentences it feels more as though they're using that other culture as an accessory? But I suppose it depends on how you use them.
