We've heard you loud and clear - negative reputation is back. Remember that it's still against the rules to complain about being downvoted - if you think someone's mass-downvoting posts or otherwise abusing the reputation system, DM a mod and we will take care of it.
Read the rules. This is not up for debate. We're not gonna deal with the fallout for users who think they have to act as vigilantes and want asspats for it. Do what you want on your own time, but don't look for attention here if you do. That's what gets snowflakes all worked up and gives them fuel to complain about us harassing them. This forum is for gossip and discussion, not taking action and interfering with peoples' lives. Please drop this subject now.
If you're looking for mod intervention, please always use the report system. That's the best way to reach us. Posting in the thread won't guarantee that we'll see it quickly. But no, we won't remove her posts - they're too funny. She'll probably wind up regretting them, but they're here forever.
Ah, I see, well in that case we're both on the same page. All I wanted to say is that I won't share his private videos with other users. I made it clear to him that he's welcome to share anything he has.
Not sure if I'm misunderstanding you, but this is about herecomesthetea's videos that he shared with me to "identify" himself as not-Mira, not any videos of Mira. If I had those, I would definitely share them.
Sorry, I can't share videos that were sent to me in private. That crosses a line. I think the most likely explanation is that he did know her, but thought he had details that we didn't know yet, and us being already aware of all that stuff took the wind out of his sails. If you were in this situation, I'm sure you wouldn't want those videos to be shared either.
No videos of Mira were shared with me yet, the videos he's talking about were to prove to me that he's male and not Mira. Just wanted to clear that up. I told him that if he wants to share the old videos of her, I'll be happy to host them somewhere so she can't try to take them down.
herecomesthetea has gotten in contact with me and sent videos identifying themselves. It doesn't hurt to hear them out. We have just identified and banned a Miranda sockpuppet today. Please continue reporting any suspicious accounts.
I looked into this after receiving a report about possible impersonation. You are currently posting from the same IP as TaiTangle. I have additional evidence beyond mere IP addresses that TaiTangle is your original account, so don't try to talk your way out of this mess. Take this as a lesson not to use PULL for self promotion; we're not idiots, this never ends well.
It's 100% fine to talk about this sort of thing. Eugenia chose to return to social media with huge fanfare, so of course she's going to continue being discussed. Speculation is fine too as long as it doesn't turn into armchair diagnosis. Please don't try to police other users on what they're allowed to talk about.
It's difficult to draw the line, I agree with you. Typically it's not a problem if someone gets a downvote or two for having an unpopular opinion, but in the Mikan thread it got to a point where any negative post would just be downvoted into the negatives, and that leads to an echo chamber. Again, downvoting over a disagreement isn't a problem when opinions are more varied, but when it turns into silencing other users, that's when it becomes an issue. We don't want the reputation system to merely be a reflection of whether or not the majority of PULL shares a user's opinion. That's a popularity contest.
If downvotes are merely used for disagreement, then comment reputation just turns into a display of whether or not a specific user reflects the popular opinion. That would be exactly what everyone wants to avoid.
Insulting, non-constructive, badly written comments are one thing, but harmless opinions are just that - opinions. We are all allowed to have one and this thread is here for us to voice them.
If you're making a thread about a snowflake or online personality, it has to be posted in the New Topic Approvals section, which won't be visible to you until your account has reached a minimum of 5 approved comments. Read the New Topic guidelines here: https://prettyuglylittleliar.net/topic/9443-new-topic-guidelines-must-read-before-making-a-topic/?page=1
If you're making a conversation topic about entertainment, beauty, chitchat etc then you can go ahead and do so in the appropriate subforum. Your topic will still need to be approved if your total post count is below 5 comments. Once you've reached 5 approved comments or more, you can post general topics and comments without waiting for approval. All new topics about snowflakes or online personalities are required to have a certain structure before a mod will approve them, regardless of your account's content count.
It's less about that specific post and more about the overall thread atmosphere. Even during the sex work conversation, users were heavily downvoted if they were holding Mikan accountable for her own decisions. This trend is still continuing - many users defend her whenever criticized and downvote any negative opinions which makes the thread very imbalanced.
It's whiteknighting when users can't post a negative opinion without getting downvoted. That goes against the purpose of PULL. We're still a gossip forum, even if not all threads are in the snowflake category. If said gossip makes people uncomfortable or defensive, they're in the wrong place. The Ariana Grande thread also has mixed opinions, but if you check her thread, you'll see that plenty of users voice their negative opinions and don't get downvoted to oblivion, which makes for a more balanced discussion. In here, negative opinions get attacked and that's not what our site is about. It stifles the conversation and turns threads into a circlejerk.
