i made strangers watch rape and torture porn! isn't that so funny and quirky guys?? xDDDD
Everytime I come back to this thread he gets a little and little worse, and this particular thing gets under my skin. I can enjoy a joke and can definitely enjoy darker comedy, but having people watch porn that includes violent themes without them knowing is flying over crossing the line territory. It approaches on the whole 'don't include unwilling people in your fetish' sort of thing, and I can completely understand why everyone here is sick of him non-stop talking about hentai for that very reason. If the people who watched them were actually alright with it and maybe found it funny themselves then kudos to them, but the whole idea of it is kinda fucked up. Also like others said do we even know if everyone he sent them to were adults or not? Cuz 'I paid minors to watch pornographic anime' is just begging to be thrown into the controversy spotlight.
I usually just dismiss clickbait titles but for some reason this one really irked me (and sorry for seeming nitpicky in advance) --- it gives off this weird impression that this anime is this crazy one that no one knows about and how Joey is going to blow your mind over it. Even though its one of Sanrio's franchises that's super popular in both the west and in Japan, got a christmas special, a couple translated books and a second season on netflix. Just considering that Aggrestuko is both mega popular and been around for years, it just kinda made the title come off as extra clickbait desperation.
Been a moment since I popped into here and all I can say is Unironically calling a irl woman who committed murder a yandere is some of the most cringiest weaboo shit I can think of. This isn't an anime, this is a real life person who killed another real life person. This goes for whether he's actually calling her yandere himself or if he's talking about people who have been (I still never watch his videos but if it's the latter, good on him tbh)
I have zero patience for watching his videos anymore so could someone please explain why he went on about loli characters for over two minutes?? I know a little bit about BHA but still don't see any connection.
Please don't tell me that Fukawa Toko wasn't kidding and he is actually upset that the female characters don't look like prepubescent children. He's already a few m'lady's away from being a full weeaboo neckbeard.
Ok so I was proven wrong, he did give examples of other LGBT anime but---
Holy shit those are some bad examples. I know everyone on here likes to joke about how he's the typical loli incest weeb, but using incest based anime with incredibly toxic relationships as examples of better LGBT representation???? Based on an anime with an incredibly rare healthy relationship? I don't usually get irritated by Joey, but this really did it for me. The examples he used just tells me he wanted a reason to show off his hateboner for yoi, but knew that a 30 minute video of 'I just don't like it' wouldn't make the cut, so at the last minute he scrambled for a better reasoning; a reasoning that could've been interesting, even thought provoking, if he just used better LGBT anime.
That's actually the sort of anime I thought he'd mention (one that takes the typical toxic yaoi stereotypes and throws them out the window), but I'm guessing from everyone's responses here he never bothered to say what these superior LGBT anime were. Which is really disappointing, as it'd actually be an interesting opportunity for him to talk about something that's needed more in anime/manga.
Aaaaaand another rant on Yuri on Ice from him - again. I really don't mind him not liking it, you can dislike/like whatever anime you want, but I just don't get why this one in particular ignites his ranty fury. Just because it's popular?? Or because it has what many people perceive to be an official gay couple?? I can see the persistent dislike about SAO from the controversial things I've heard about it, but other than having a super popular period, YOI seems to be harmless.
Please don't tell me he really did pull the 'if you initially gained the desire to learn Japanese through Japanese media then ur just a dumb weeb' thing. And that he actually used 'it's hard to learn a new language' (no shit) as a reason to not learn new languages.
First time in this thread and holy shit. I've always wanted to cosplay/go to cons but the distinct lack of personal boundaries a lot of cosplayers have is pretty disconcerting. But straight up committing sexual harassment and then acting like you're the victim in all of this is disgusting af.
It really says a lot about a person when they have to make a near 20 minute video about a flight delay. 3 hours ON the plane is incredibly ridiculous (I'd be pretty pissed too), but then again I know nothing about the fact that delays going on with this particular company is common atm. :0 So yeah, agree that they should've researched into them first. Over here they regularly report if an airline is having issues like this and with the frequent problems of delays happening more and more, you really should look to see if the one you're using has anything going on, especially if you're working on a short time frame.
