I'm just a salty bitch, because when she said her influx of new subscribers might be from her crap fukubukuro videos, I rolled my eyes. I immediately thought it'd probably be due to her Klairs ambassador thing.
Also, I'm Asian, I don't use shoes in the house, I basically steam my floors every week. I cringed when she put her clean laundry and groceries on the floor.
I don't know about anyone else, but I feel like Sharla dresses so drab, messy and inappropriate for the situation most of the time. I can't find the video now, but last year she did a filmed professional interview with two women who were both dressed quite nicely and professional and Sharla showed up in a hoodie and torn jeans.
Because she looked as enthusiastic as someone getting a root canal. She even looks disappointed in the thumbnail. Pokemon fukubukuro - "Ommmggggg soOoOoOo cute" Adidas fukubukuro - "Look at this hoodie!!! I'm going to wear it a lot!" Emsexcite fukubukuro - "We have a pretty long. . it looks like it's oversized and baggy denim- denim style but not actually denim. . . . shirt."
I took one for the team and watched it. It was equal parts Luna and Maro. I had to watch it at 2x speed because I found it boring af, but I guess if you're into her cats playing for 6 minutes, it's a good time.
So I remember hearing a long time ago that the best gift to get someone is something that you'd like for yourself. And I always thought that was the dumbest, weirdest gift giving advice. The box Sharla sent Taylor is evidence that that is the worst way to go about it. I just think Sharla sucks as a gift giver. It's like when she exchanged omiyage with Sherry; Sherry's omiyage box was full of stuff and she went through the trouble of wrapping it, writing notes and obviously put thought into picking them out. Sharla sent Sherry a loose shopping bag with like half or what Sherry had sent. She doesn't put any thought into what she gives people.
Yes. The weird thing is, when she's speaking to native Japanese people, her accent isn't that bad. But when she speaks to her husband, it's kind of cringeworthy. It reminds me of when a character in an anime is portrayed as speaking broken Japanese (the one that comes to mind is Prince of Tennis, when Ryoma's dad is trying to pretend he's someone else).
I got a little claustro, thinking about how two adults and two cats smash into that tiny top bunk. I'm glad she cleaned it up, but did anyone else feel weird that she didn't wash the bedding prior to putting it on? Maybe it's a cultural thing, but my skin itched at the thought of it. Otherwise, I liked this video!
I liked this video, especially because now she won't be eating BREAD/PASTA/OATMEAL/BREAD/PASTA for every meal. TBH, though, I'm kind of proud of her for doing this. She really wants to stay motivated and be held accountable so it was a good idea for her to share this.
I thought it was weird when Sharla said they were going to sleep on the bottom, but the top bunk was for the cats or visitors. That would be so awkward to have to sleep in the same room, let alone above a married couple.
