Johanna is this ~blogger~ from Sweden who became internet fay-moose because of her face, which is this amalgamation of photoshop, focal length, angles, filters, make up, etc. etc. etc. She had been lurking in her original thread on freeforums since something like page 70 or 80. Not entirely sure why she does this, but I think it's to keep track of when she slips up so she can delete shit on the fly, or to avoid doing another photoshop fuckup in the future.

People were tipped off to all her lurking due to all her vagueblogging. She reads something in the thread, then vaguely replies to it on twitter where no one can touch her.

In any case, the original thread was created back in 2012. It wasn't until late 2013/early 2014 when discussion on her sho0ping really picked up. There was a lot of speculation about it, and some proof, but no candids to back any of it up, that is until the end of 2014 when she was hired to star in the music video, Ghost Town, by the band Kerbera (this is covered in the ED article along with the video). Most of us were pretty damn shocked because while we knew she was edited, we didn't know how extensive it all was.

I think it was late January/early February of this year she announced she was hired on as a host for Global Modeling Scouts, which is this agency that gets you in touch with actual modeling agencies. IIRC it was also mentioned that they were starting their own modeling agency, which Johanna is signed on to (but ppl were skeptical about the company, so it's questionable just how well-connected they are). People took pictures from the event, and the company (I think?) filmed a mini web series online that shows Jo in all her unedited glory. Here's the candids:

Added the screen of all the comments remarking on how different she looks in the photo, which includes comments from Jo implying that she doesn't sho0p, and that the reason for this is b/c she can't edit her videos lol.

This is Johanna's portrait from the Blog Faces campaign for GMS. When Johanna posted it she implied that the reason she doesn't look like her selfies here is because the photographer distorted her ~natural beauty~. Ofc all of this was couched in pleasant terms (i.e. "I rly admire his work!" blablabla). Btw the guy who took the photo is Bo Brinkenfalk.

Prior to joining PULL I made a folder for her to save her photos for art references. After I joined PULL I expanded my files further for personal examination/study as to whether she was sho0ping. Tbh, I was a bit too harsh in my approach as I disregarded A LOT of what I was observing with the outside explanations at the time. Ex: ppl said the differences in her jaw was attributed to weightloss, puberty, etc. No, all of it was photoshop/editing.

Some things you should know if you're going to use this file for your own purposes:

- It's not completely organized. I intended to go through VK for proper dates on when certain photos were taken, but never got around to it. Some files also may be misplaced. Generally I kept all the loose/unlabeled files to folders for future organization.

- My screenarchery sucks ass. Meaning most screencaps don't have dates on them. So if you're going to post these elsewhere, you should probably reverse search to find out when the post was logged on VK or something.

- I've reoriented certain images b/c Johanna flips her images blablabla. I've even done this for a few images that were taken in the mirror. So just be mindful of that if you're going to use those for anything.

- I don't have all her photos or all her videos. I have only what I personally bothered to download from VK using dredown and dinsta. Meaning if you want other videos or images, you either gotta hunt them down on Johanna's social media accounts, or hunt them down on her vk fanpages.

In any case, use it with caution.

Wonder how Jo feels about a fellow of the Blog Face's has gone to New York and gotten several modeling jobs

Yes, i have a steady hand.. Lol

So about a year ago Johanna decided to do two small mini tutorials on brow care:

Then about 2 months ago she did a smokey eye tutorial.

From what I recall of the video she didn't show her face fully (like straight up in the beginning she covers the bottom of her face so there you go) just brief glimpses and a lot of eyebrow waggling.

Now enter her most recent tutorial featuring Farg's fade proof lip pencils:

Basic run-down of the video in terms of how much she shows her face here:

- favors her preferred angle at 3/4s pose, appears a bit awkward due to this, perhaps b/c of the nose pulling and sucking in her cheeks while smiling. Just a guess.

- i feel there must be some editing to the jawline as it looks kinda wobbly in areas, and her chin skews to the side at certain moments (specifically area above the chin moves inward, which makes bottom of the chin look more pronounced). It's possible some of this is just facial muscle movements. But I've said this before and I'll say it again: Johanna is very careful with what she posts online, which includes what she incorporates into her videos. Meaning if she edits her videos (which I think we've confirmed a few times already) then she's very careful to make sure there aren't any obvious slip-ups.

- Uses her Thickening/Lengthening mascara, but since she's wearing falsies, all we have to go off of is the several coats it took to get her bottom lashes to look like that. so i still don't know how this looks in terms of before/after eyelashes. Spoilering my comments on this since it doesn't pertain to the video:

(seriously why is Johanna so bad at this? like she even said it herself that makeup commercials for mascara featured falsies in the advertising so how do you know what the mascara actually looks like by itself. and like, if you're marketing a product that claims to be thickening/lengthening, wouldn't it make sense to show a side-by-side comparison illustrating how it works instead of just the final product?)

at some point I'll put the thing into photoshop and look at the individual frames to see if there's anything really telling. but imo this argument is over. Johanna sho0p's and filters her content online, which shapes how people perceive her.

tl;dr it's a great example of the myth of photographic truth. end of story.
